METIS has advised one of the founding shareholders of WebID Solutions GmbH in connection with the acquisition of a majority stake by the financial investor AnaCap Financial Partners.
WebID Solutions Group with headquarters in Berlin, founded in 2012, is one of the leading providers in Europe for online identification services with around 800 employees in Germany and abroad. In addition to video identification, WebID provides solutions for digital identities (True Identity), automated age checks and online signature processes.
The METIS team consisted of Dr. Felix Dette (transaction lead), Dr. Lars Friske, Bettine Jankowski, Jessica Tegelbekkers (all Corporate/M&A) as well as Dr. Daniel Benkert (Employment).
