METIS appoints Dr. Eva Breitenfeld (Employment Law) and Christian Cappel (Dispute Resolution) as partners effective January 1, 2026.
We are delighted that Eva and Christian are now joining us as the next generation of partners at METIS. Following the appointment of Dr. Felix Dette, this is another example of partner development from within. We believe it is important to continually develop partners to further grow METIS. Both Eva and Christian have spent their entire legal careers at METIS.
Dr. Eva Breitenfeld has been with METIS since its founding in 2010 and has played a decisive role in shaping the labor law practice. She advises on the entire spectrum of individual and collective labor law and represents clients in out-of-court negotiations and in court. Eva Breitenfeld has particular expertise in the areas of employee data protection and employee participation. Another focus of her work is labor law issues in M&A and carve-out transactions as well as intra-group restructurings.
Christian Cappel joined METIS in 2013. Together with Dr. Florian Wettner, he has successfully expanded the dispute resolution practice. Christian Cappel specializes in litigation before state courts and arbitration tribunals, out-of-court dispute resolution, and providing legal and tactical advice to clients in conflict situations. His practice focuses on complex civil and corporate law disputes. Christian Cappel has particular experience in cases involving executive and auditor liability as well as in contractual disputes. He also advises on post-M&A proceedings and internal investigations and related liability disputes.
