METIS advises BELECTRIC on the sale of photovoltaics supplier Jurchen Technology to financial investor Lafayette

METIS has advised BELECTRIC, a leading enterprise in the development and construction of utility scale solar power plants and energy storage systems, on the sale of Jurchen Technology GmbH and its Indian subsidiary Jurchen Technology India Private Ltd. to financial investor Lafayette Mittelstand Capital.

Jurchen Technology is a manufacturer of components for ground-mounted photovoltaic plants with headquarter in Helmstadt, Germany, and a production and sales outlet in Mumbai (Boisar), India. Jurchen Technology supplies to solar power plants worldwide and specialises in large-scale solar plants, including this year a project in India (250 MW AC) and the Limondale project in Australia (249 MW AC). It is the only manufacturer on the market to offer both mechanical components of the substructure and the matching electrical DC cabling from one source. The sale is a result of a strategic realignment process. Both parties have agreed to maintain confidentiality regarding the purchase price.
