METIS advises Fraport AG in relation to strategic partnership with WFS Worldwide Flight Services

METIS Rechtsanwälte LLP advised Fraport AG in relation to a strategic partnership in the field of cargo ground handling with Worldwide Flight Services (WFS). In connection therewith 51 % of the shares of Frankfurt airport domiciled Fraport Cargo Services GmbH (FCS) were sold to WFS. FCS is leader in the market of cargo handling services to third parties in Frankfurt/Main. The share sale is expected to be executed until September 2015 following merger control clearance. With its 49 % stake Fraport remains a major shareholder of FCS. Formerly advised by major law firms in the field of transactions, Fraport AG relied on METIS’ expertise throughout this transaction for the first time.
