METIS advises Schur Flexibles on the acquisition of three manufacturers of premium packaging solutions from Clondalkin-Group

METIS Rechtsanwälte LLP advises Schur Flexibles Group on the acquisition of Cats Flexible Packaging B.V., Hänsel Flexible Packaging GmbH and Nimax B.V. from Clondalkin.


Cats and Hänsel are specialized producers of packaging solutions for premium confectionary with locations in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) and Freital (Germany). Nimax is focused on innovative paper based packaging solutions for tobacco and tea and has a production facility in Elst (The Netherlands). The three locations with about 135 employees generate a sales volume of over 30 million euros (2017). Schur Flexibles Group, headquartered in Baden (Austria), is one of the leading European suppliers of flexible packaging for food, pharmaceuticals, tobacco products, cosmetic and hygiene items.
